Regarding Profibus DP.

din10 Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Dear Expert, Sir regarding troubleshooting of profibus DP failure.As bus fault occur from cpu led error X2 lit. Second if OB interrupt loaded in user programme it will not go to stop mode.Sir i want to know other available source to find if bus fault occur & without going cpu in stop mode. waiting for ur reply. Regards+ Din 10. Hello, See the following FAQ for list of other OBs which are necessary to avaoid CPU entering STOP mode. Which organization blocks do you have to load into the CPU to ensure that the CPU does not go into the "STOP" status when a remote I/O fails? For cause and rememdies for error indicated by BF on CPUs with DP interface(in case of flashing or always ON) ,See tables in the following manual: Status and error indicators: CPUs with DP interface You can use data provided by error OBs to evaluate cause of error and inform operator or system engineer via OP Panel by generating alarms or shutdown plant (or part of it).A case due to DP slave failure discussed here: I wanna know when DP Slave has a failure - OB86 Best regards, Hamid Hosseini
