registering custom control

You already certified if are not lacking dependences of its control?
Until today, I only used and I recommend made controls with VC++. Not even in VB. The Siemens provide a tool to make controls, this tool is the IndustrialX.

Forget about .NET controls.
Use MFC ActiveX if you don't want to crash Grafic CS/RT.

Microsoft had hard time when programmers asked for backward compatibilities between .NET controls and VB6 control host ActiveX container. Finally programmers had to reprogram the document host in .NET fashion.
So if you really want to do .NET programming it's easy to program from scratch a new Graphic Runtime and host your new .NET controls and some old WinCC Graphic controls.

I remember that until little time, the C++ programmers were furious with MS, because the destructor wasn't called correctly bygarbage collector of .Net.

Well,in this way, I don't uninstall my Visual Studio 6.0, and for web I prefer J2EE with WorkShop Studio, Adobe Flex andJBOSS, !!!
