Registration for Software Download

Hello. 

I dont know how to go on from here: should I wait, contact local support or create a Support Request?

April 23 I registered for Siemens 

April 24 I got an email stating that my profile was incomplete

April 25 I updated the profile

Still. I didnt know how to "request the right to download export-restricted software again".

I can share more informations if needed.

Any help is most welcome

Hello Pietro Meltzer,

once everything is complete on your end, Siemens is doing a regulation check, which usually takes 2 to 3 working days. In exceptional cases it can take longer.

After the check you receive an e-mail permitting you to download export-restricted software from the Industry Online Portal.

I got an e-mail asking to change my country.

But while the univerisity is located in Europe, I am not. And as I can't change the country information in the login, I suppose I should contact local Siemens, is that so?

you can change your country by clicking on your name at the top right of the login/ logout button and selecting "Modify personal data":

Anticipating the problem: Mr Meltzer is specifying an educational institution but he does not reside there. His home is elsewhere. I am guessing the vetting system has some issue with that. Which address detail should Mr Meltzer use?

the user has probably made entries in the profile information that are not consistent. As a result, an e-mail was sent to him with the information that he should change his country so that the information in the profile matches.
My guess is that the user is not aware of how to change the profile information. Therefore he asked if he could make the change himself or if he should contact someone.
