And very common answer - FAQ: How do you configure an S7 connection for data communication between an S7-200 and an S7-300 or an S7-400 at the Industrial Ethernet? For remote access to this system go to SEARCH field here and write "VPN". regards

I want to connect my s7-200 network to internet and monitor them from office, i am looking for my ptroject, first of all please forget VPN for remote maintenace, i am looking for the solutions. The present configuration is one S7-is connected with a device using its serial port, and another CPU S7-200 is also connected to a prepheral device using its serial port. One of these CPUs has a modem 241 and i can connect with it, by calling a number. Is it pussible CPU connection with internet by this modem or not ? My another question is if any way i connect my cpu to internet, what can i do by dynamic IP address? Is there any solution. and another question is about security of connection over internet. Thank you in advance. Regards

Arunakat1 Posts: 217 Rating: (52)	Hi, I had a one question, do you only want to monitor 1000 PLCs, or you want to communicate PLCs each other’s and monitoring. If your answer is first you can use CP243-1 IT modules to each stations and monitor through Internet may be possible. This is a hint only. Regards.

But then you need about 1000 MD720-3 modems, SIM-Cardsand 4 central Servers with SINAUT MICRO SC. With one Server you can only configurate 256 connections. It's not the cheapest solution. Only an idea...

For the control we have Mitsubishi plc's and since I started in this company Siemens 300 plc's. I got the plc's fitted with ethernet modules, as well as our touchscreens. Now I can access all our installations using a SSL-VPN connection. I'm using Viola Arctic GPRS and EDGE routers for this. http://www.violasystems.com/products/products_arctic_gprs_router.htm To get a secure connection we have installed a Gateway. http://www.violasystems.com/products/products_viola_m2m_gateway.htm You can also use this equipment to make a secure connection over a wired network connection. I'm very pleased with these components.

I understoood that i can do that with 1000 md720-3 and at least 4 Micro sinaut Cs OpC server, But now we have Dial up modem on our system configuration, is it possible using this modeem to connect to internet? If yes? what should i do ? how can i manage PLC to dial a ISP server and connect to internet, what should i do with dynamic IP. I just want to monitor these 1000 plc, the only way i think is Internet not wireless communication because they are far away from each other,. Tank you in advance

Is internet avaible to all your stations? The wireless communication I meen, is also using internet by GPRS. Provided that GPRS is available, I think it can be a substitue.
