remote connection to PLC

nikolapr Advanced Member Joined: 6/30/2017 Last visit: 10/18/2024 Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	I have created VPN connection between Scalance S612 on one side and scalance M876-4 on the other side With S1200 and CP1243-1. I have a PC in internal network of S612. How to access a PLC on the other side for downloading or diagnostic? Do i need some port forwarding, or additional configuration of S612. Any manuals Thx

Pittiplatsch Posts: 1368 Rating: (128)	Hello, do you configure gateway in ALL modules (PC ==> S615 LAN1-4, CP1243 ==> M876)? Port-Forwarding is not necessary, because you use VPN and so the connection between PC and CP is as a own "LAN". Do you allow the online-function in CP for downloading/go online to the plc over CP?
