Remote programming S7-214

maddog69 Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	I was hoping someone could clarify something for me. I am traying to access S7-214 from outside network with Step 7 Basic V11. I have static IP at plant router. I will set plant router static IP as plc ip address in hardware config and when I try to connect Step 7 will be trying to access port 102 of the plant side router (whose ip is set as plc ip in hardware config). So as long as I have Port 102 configured to redirect any traffic on the Port 102 of the plant router to the PLC real IP then I should get commmunication. Is this right? Does Step 7 just automatically try to access port 102? I currently have port 502 forwarded on router and I cannot figure out how to tell Step 7 to try and connect with plant router on port 502 (nowhere to enter port #). I just read i forum somewhere that Step 7 automatically tries to acces port 102. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Step 7 Basic is designed for S7-1200 CPUs... http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/48214600 Could you please give us the exact part number of the CPU you are trying to communicate with?
