Renaming multiple instance block names PCS7 v6.1

shment Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi, in current project i have about 1500 of I/O signals linked to modul drivers in various CFC's. These modul drivers have auto-generated block name (1, 2, 3, etc). I would like to rename these blocks, but renaming each one in CFC is a real pain. Is there any way to import the new names in CFC's? In simatic manager - process object view I can only change block comment, the block names are grayed out. Any help would be appreciated! Regards, shment Attachment block_names.JPG (127 Downloads)

At least in v7.0 (i don't remember for earlier version) there is a tab called "Blocks" where you can change the block name. (see attached pic) Attachment blocks_column_in POview.JPG (115 Downloads)

shment Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi, my program versions are: - PCS7 v6.1 - SIMATIC manager v5.3 + SP2 + HF12 - Interconnecting CFC v6.1 + SP1 + HF9 Unfortunately the POV doesn't have blocks tab. I'm also looking for an alternative way for renaiming the blocks, like editing configuration files. If there is a way to export block data into for example Excel, then i can easly change the data and import it back to configuration file. The reason why we don't use the newer version of PCS7 is that this project is managed in more companies, so we had to bought same SW and licence. Regards, shment
