Repetitive hardware error on Analog Output Module

flcorbin Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I'm bored about a bug in TIA Portal v12 currently and I wish someone has a fix for it. I'm using a S7-1200 PLC with severale expansion modules on it, like a 4AQ module. The problem is that everytime I open the TIA portal for the first time and wish to compile my program it always give me this error: Substitute value for channel on a change from RUN to STOP: Value outside the permitted range: [4..20]. So the first time I changed the value of the substitution to 4mA (it was by default at 0mA). Fine. But since then, everytime I open the TIA Portal software and try to compile my program, it always pop up this error as it didn't save the value (to 4mA). It's always back to 0mA which is under the range (4..20mA). Anyone have any ideas to correct this annoying bug? Thanks.

flcorbin Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	I put 4mA, it then change automatically to exactly "4.0000000000000000000000000000" if I click elsewhere and then scroll down and then back up (seem to refresh the field). Also, this repetitive error happen even if I just change between two projects.

Do you have a screenshot of your hardware configuration and PLC firmware? What version of TIA Portal? V11 SP1 Update 5? V12 SP1 Update 3? What PLC firmware level? 2.2? 3.0.2? What part # for your AQ module? You want us to guess the answer? Sure, I can guess the hardware and software are incompatible.

What version of TIA Portal? V11 SP1 Update 5? V12 SP1 Update 3? What PLC firmware level? 2.2? 3.0.2? What part # for your AQ module? You want us to guess the answer? Sure, I can guess the hardware and software are incompatible. I have a v3.0.2 S7-1214C PLC (6ES7 214-1AG31-0XB0) with a v2.0 SM 1232 AQ4 (6ES7 232-4HD32-0XB0) with TIA Portal v12. But, I didn't had the SP1 Update 3, and now that I have updraged it has solve this annoying bug. Case closed. Thanks.
