Hello bin051; Normally, you can remove one node from the Profibus network without really affecting the other stations, except that the DP-master will recieve diagnostics from the field (if OB86 is installed, it will not go into STOP mode because of a missing slave). However you must ensure that the station you are removing is not the last one on the bus, providing power to the bus terminator; make sure that another station's termination resistor is set and poweredbefore you remove any last station on the bus. However, if you wish to be very structured in your programming, you can use SFC 12 "D_ACT_DP" to remove the particular node you are removing from the DP-master's call list. That way, while SFC 12 is active, the node will not be polled and the rest of the bus will not be affected. Have a look at the following FAQ, which includes a sample program that shows how you can use SFC 12 to de-activate multiple DP-slaves: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/22819902 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
