Replace of motor module

The CU is a 320-2 PN together with a S7-1500. I need to change the setup from a double motor module to a single motor module. We only use one motor and need the bytes in the telegram for an double motor module in a different location. Is there any smart way to replace the DMM to the correct SMM without to create the motor and encoder objects again? Best regards Thomas
