Hello rahul1234 while symbols are helpful in understanding the program, a symbol table is NOT a must have for the conversion. What is a must have is a Cross reference list though and I wonder if that's what's missing (it certainly wasn't in your zip file). If so, create one with Step5 and try it again (yours isa pretty simple S5 program and will convert quite well). I hope this helps |

Hi, As a trial, I have just run through the conversion process with your UPLOAD.S5D file. It converts fine, obviously there is no symbolic file (SEQ or INI) - hence the resultant files will not have any symbolic's either. If you import the External Source file ("UPLOADAC.AWL") into the "Sources" folder within a new Step 7 project you should see the result of the conversion process. I have included a "BlockAssignment.pdf" which shows the before and after block addresses, and also an "ErrorList.pdf", you will need to look at the specific errors within (there are only a few) and address the issues highlighted in the list. I would suggest you then try the process for yourself, so you a familiar with it for future projects. Remember, as Fritz said, you need an up to date cross-ref file from S5 for the process to work. (in Step 5: F11 or "Management\Make XREF") Hope this helps Kind Regards Jester AttachmentConverted.zip (243 Downloads) |
