I have an application where depending on mode selection from a touch screen, an external encoder can be activated or deactivated. In one mode the external encoder is used (in Simotion D 410-2 this an external encoder connected to encoder object in Sinamics integrated). In another mode the external encoder is disabled (this is done by the 'FBLDPV1SetActiveInactive' command from the LDPV1 library).
If the mode without external encoder is selected, there is normally no physical encoder connected to the Simotion.
The reason for this multi mode program is the possibility to have multiple applications from one program.
My problem is : if I change to the mode with external encoder and there is at that moment no external encoder connected, a fault is generated at Sinamics level (because the encoder tracks are checked). I can in this situation not reset the fault if there is no encoder. Then I change the mode to 'without encoder', where the external encoder is deactivated. But at that moment I still have the fault on the Sinamics level.
And I cannot reset the fault because the now deactivated encoder object cannot receive the reset command, as it is inactive.
So, how can  I reset  a fault on a deactivated encoder object in Sinamics?
