saving Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	Dear sir's I want to use a AI 8*13bit module type 6ES7331-1KF02-0AB0. and i want measuring position (600mm)with liner encoder that output it is 0-20MA please tel me max resolution that i can use 12bit or 13bit and how can iprogram 13bit resolution?and how? a.jami

Some modules have a programmable resolution like6ES7 331-7KF02-0AB0. So in your case, you do not have to make any further settings to increase the resolution. Module Data Manual* ●8 inputs in 8 channel groups ● Programmable resolution at each channel group (12 bits + sign) Hope this helps.

poya_xp Posts: 167 Rating: (4)	saving dear poya_xp how can you calcu. the resolution (0.084)because2^12=4098 and 600/4096=0.1465 beast regard's a Hi saving as i read when you use 13 bit resolution, it means that you have not 2 bit from 16 bit and one for sign.13+2+1=16 because you have not the last 2 bit and 2^2=4 the step of measuring is 4and your measuring rising and falling by 4.(e.g 1then 5 then 9 then 13...) and also we have 0 to 27648 for analoge measurment in PLC then you must do these: 27648/4= 6912 you have 6912 binary code for your real value then: 600/6912=0.086 and this is your accuracy by this resolution i hope it was helpful
