Nelliyan randy Posts: 461 Rating: (29)	Yes , U have enabled the retentivity for the respective tag..Still dont retentive, what is the type of restart ur performing ... If ur performing Cold restart it will erase both retentive & non retentive memory.. Genera Scenario : Warm Restart - During power up - Erase Non retentive Cold Restart - After Download - Erase both retentive & Non retentive Regards, Nelliyan.G

Claus Lind Posts: 31 Rating: (1)	As I can See in the Project it's ok, but i still cannot turn off the PLC and start it again, and still have the Count at the number that I had before i switched it off- I want to use it to Count the number off starts i have on a motor, but the PLC is turned off evrery day Best regards Claus

Claus Lind Posts: 31 Rating: (1)	DB1 I only can see a DB2 in the projekt, but is DB1 hidden ?. What i want to do is to have a Count of how may starts a pump(motor) makes. The plc that controls trhe pump is turned off everey day, so i got to save the Count to the next day where the plc starts again and increments the Count from the day before. Best regards. Claus

Claus Sorry, you canfind DB1 under Program blocks -> System blocks -> Program resources . You can double click on it and set it to Retain, either in the Variable view or in the Properties -> Attributes. Alternative:instead of creating a single instance DB "IEC_Counter_0_DB(DB1) you could changethe Data type of yourvariable "Pumpe 1 starter" from WORDto IEC_COUNTER. In this case you wouldn't need an extraDB1 just for one counter.
