RJ 45 and db9 ?

Import-User-1 Posts: 3609 Rating: (29)	Import of a Technical Question of the User lujak lujak Hello, I trying to connect the S7-1200 via Ethernet port with serial device (ip gateway) using blocks for open user communication (send/receice data via Ethernet (TCP)) in TIA portal v11. My serial device have db9 male connector, it support tcp and udp protocol. There are various ways of connecting RJ45 pinouts with DB9 connectior. I do not know which one to use......? Any recommendation......? p.s I didn't found anydiscussion about this topic on forum.

lujak Regular Member Joined: 9/26/2012 Last visit: 6/5/2024 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	hello, I agree buteach manufacturer of network equipment has its own version of connecting pinouts. e.g. Lantronix: For a straight cable with RJ45 on one end and DB9 on the other: RJ45 DB9 RTS 1 -------------- 8 CTS DTR 2 ---------\|---- 6 DSR \|-----1 DCD TX+ 3 -------------- 2 RXD SGD 4 ---------\| SGD 5 ---------\|---- 5 Signal Ground RX+ 6 -------------- 3 TXD DSR 7 -------------- 4 DTR CTS 8 -------------- 7 RTS I will use this type of connection pinouts. Any recommendation would be good start.........?
