Hi,

I'm experiencing some strange behaviour on my router(s) when connecting a S7-1515F PLC to my 4G/LTE-router.

I've tried my setup with two different S7-1515 PLCs and two different models of 4G/LTE-router;

TP-Link MR6400  

TP-Link MR400

At the moment the S7 boots up, my router becomes inaccessible and the internet connection to other devices goes down. 

Together with the S7-1515 PLC, a Wago PFC200 and a Raspberry Pi is also connected to the router (directly). But this only happens when I connect the Siemens PLC.

I have tried both with and without a router address setup in my S7-project and also with and without Webserver activated with no luck.

Can anyone please help me with this problem?

do you use fixed IP Adresses or do you have set the routers to DHCP

-> you should use fixed IPs.

-> You have to set the Router/Gateway Adress in the Interface seetings  of the PLC Ethernet Port.

which IPs and subnets do you use?

The router's webconfigurator crashes as soon as the plc is connected to its LAN side.

So it has an in browser log, which can be exported to a file. But this log is unattainable as soon as the router crashes. So no usable information from it.

Using wireshark it was apparant that once a PN-DCP packet is sent on the LAN, the router seizes. No more webconfig, WLAN or internet (4G). Switching seems to remain operational, i assume that is a different hardware section that is not dependent of firmware issues.

I have launched a support request at TP-link. I will post updates in this forum.

"This protocol is not normally used in Home networking".

the TIA Portal and the S7 Protocol uses DCP Telegrams (Mac Adress based on Ethernet Layer 2) for general Communication. In Scalance Access Points for example you can activate a DCP Forwarding. perhaps you should use a industry proved Network device (Like SCALANCE) instead of the TP Link System.

I resolved that. I had the same problem. I'm sorry that i used italian on the image, i used that option on the X1p1r and x1p2r port.
