RPTPrint to PDF file name automation

Tegronite Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	How can I save the file with a name based on tags automatically when I print a report to a PDF file, I have RPTJobPrint("Job_Name") printing to a CutePDF printer. That works fine, then I get a "Save As" box that pops up and wants a confimation on file name. I amlookingfor a way to auto populate the "Save As" text field when the box pops up from code and then "click" Ok. Is there a parameter I can use when calling the RPTJobPrint command?

Tegronite Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	That looks great, but one question. How seemless is it to change from basic to developer edition? Will the end user see any change in function or is the upgrade only programmatic and it will all "look the same" in the end? Thanks!

JMJ Posts: 487 Rating: (45)	I am not sure what exactly you meant. On WinCC side there should not be any change. Rest all happens in the background anyway, so end user should not see it. I just wanted you to know that I have not used this, I just knew there is such possibility with cutePDF. You may want to ask cutePDF about those.

hferro Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I've found a better utility to print report to a pdf file. Please install BullzipPDFPrinter and the converter from PS to PDF. You'll have the option to print to pdf with a "save as" automatic. I think this utility are free for comercial use.
