rrading of analyser is below low range

Manoranjan Posts: 88 Rating: (0)	islam elamrawy I havea problem with Ultramat 23 analyzer. The analog output of the analyzer is connected to PCS7 system via analog input cards SM331. All four analog readings are ok in analyzer but it gives bad quality error (for second then return ok again)in pcs7 system while the reading are ok (no open loop values).I made test for the analog output of analyzer from its menu and measured with multi-meter and values are ok. Can you help me with this problem? Regards Dear frnds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am facing same problem. In my case the rrading of analyser is below low range i.e. the reading is *-0.25ppm* where as the Range of Analyser is 0 to 10 ppm. The alarm comming and going continously. I checked the mode of CH_AI CFC block, there is no changing and it is automatic reset. Your suggesitions are most welcome regards, Manoranjan

Is it Meas Mon Block? if you don't want alarms for low Signal then double click on particular block in order to open object Property. Then Go to Messages and delete the message. Compile AS followed by OS and check weather the Alarm is generating or not?

RugbyGuy Silver Expert Joined: 1/15/2009 Last visit: 4/19/2024 Posts: 316 Rating: (40)	Manoranjan, Which version of PCS7 are you working with and which channel driver are you using? -The channel driver will be posting the bad quality to your Analog Monitoring blocks that pass up to the HMI. --> If using APL your default limits are 3.6mA to 21mA, outside that range and its going to post Bad = 1. You can define other limits by setting the NamurOff bit equal to 1 and then set your new limits on the HighLimit and LowLimit input parameters. --->Ofcourse your new limits must reside inside the overshoot and undershoot range of your module -If you are not using APL and your using the standard CH_AI, the default mA are the same (3.6->21mA), but also can be changed via the CH_F_ON=1 then set new limits for CH_F_HL and LL. you can find the specs of your IO modules here, http://support.automation.siemens.com/US/view/en/8859629 Goodluck!
