Yes, you need power suply in order repeater to work. The second part of your question is not clear for me. Or let's say - why do you want to use a repeater? There exist a diagnostic repeater. How do you determine the topology using the diagnostic repeater and display it in STEP 7 or read it out via the user program? Best regards, Hristo Mihalev
