RS232-TTY Converter

Following are my doubts 1) i would like to communicate TP with CPU928B SI1 Port via RS232-TTY Converter so is it possible? 2)The distance between PLC & HMI is around 20m. So is it is possible to communicate via RS232-TTY Converter with this distance? Here on fourm i have gone through no of threads providing the details of such converter. 3) i want to purchase a reliable converter which works 24 X 7 X 365 days with minimum 20m length. Can anybody provide me the details which converter should i purchase? Thanks in advance.

beard Posts: 18 Rating: (1)	Hi Amit_86 You need adapter cable w/ this order no: 6ES5 734-1BD20 to connect yout TP270 to S5 CPU. My experience told me it won't be a problem with that distance (my experience was 30 meters and everything was fine). May this info help you best rgrds, beard

But still i have following doubts. 1) What is the Maximum length available for TTY Cable. i found that cable with this MLFB:6ES5734-2CC50 support 25M. is there any other MLFB for Cable more then 25m Length? 2) Now i want to purchase an ELV TTY/RS232 Converter (option 2) but on site i didnot found the link. Can anybody provide the direct link to purchase this adaptor? 3) TP270 10 inch HMI will support AS511 Communication with S5135U?

If distance is a problem, maybe you can connect the panel over Profibus, assuming there is already an IM308C interface in the rack. Kind regards, BV

But he said that it worked with 30m. In the meantime I search for an alternative. Regards.
