Hi, I'm using TIA V14 with CPU 1214DCDCDC and so far I have been able to get Canopen , profinet, and RS232 frames informations,

Today I'm working on RS485 network and the main purpose is pretty straightforward:

I'm using another PLC (master) to send RS485 frame and I should read/received it with my 1214CPU (slave).

I bought a RS422/485 siemens module ( S7-241-1CH32-0XB0) FS: 2.0.3 

Anytime I send RS485 signal, my PLC Rx LED briefly blink to orange which ,I assume ,means that the PLC successfully received RS485 frames,

I'm a bit suprised that I don't found any RS485 example to help on TIA +

TIA helper also say that both  "modbus comm load" and "modbus slave" need at least firmware 2.1 to work propely,

Is my S7-241-1CH32-0XB0 FS: 2.0.3 is useless atm?

so I guess I should upgrad my RS485 module right?

I'm not using RS232 for RS485 project :), I'm just showing you this as exemple yes.

let's sum this up,

I get an RS422/485 module version 2.0 

I want to use all the blocks mention earlier but it seems that they only work with version 2.1 or above,
(the main goal is to able to received the RS485 frame and read it accordingly)

So I'm wondering

Should I upgrad the module , (to answer you , my PLC is V4.1) and how to do it.

Or there might be a way to received the frame send by the another PLC (which is successfully received on my 1214C) using the actual version (2.0) but I dont have siemens example to help me back,

How could I make test when all block need at least v2.1 to works?
