Having issues connecting to console port for the boot-time control and ROS interfaces. Is there an easy way to identify the switch's IP address or should it be a simple plug and play. My laptop calls the switch an unidentified network.

I am currently connected to the switch from the front facing Console port to a laptop.

Apologies ahead of time for my lack of networking knowledge.

Did you follow the manual with regards to accessing your deivce? The RSG2300 ROS User Guide can be followed here and chapter 2 describes multipleways to access and setup the RSG2300.

While the serial workaround is a nice catch, the constraints of the project require the ability to configure the switch using an Ethernet connection that allows use of the web browser configuration ROS.

Is there any idea why the network is unidentified and unable to be connected to? Using the serial connection I was able to identify the IP address but that IP does not seem to function in my browser. Tried pretty much everything I can think of at this point to get the Ethernet connection to function, with no luck unfortunately.
