RSS feed instead of posting to forum on every software update

Hi all, I think all of you have seen threads in appropriate conferences about some software updates. So I would like to encourage users of the forum to register to Siemens site RSS feeds to be always updated with news and software releases. In that case we don't need to flood our forum with useless software update topics. When you open support home page in the upper right corner you will see Subscribe to our newsletter now |

This is certainly a good point, Darius, but the presence of RSS feeds could be more visible. I've been around about the last 20 months but only noticed RSS-feeds the other day (RSS icon somewhere in the header). I bookmarked the forum start page back then, instead of the support home page, so I never saw the RSS-icon from the support home page. Cheers PS: I don't like newsletters, most of those are primary intended as advertising and if you subscribe to a few, before you know your mailbox get spammed by these. Although Siemens as a nicer way of being selective on this. |

The RSS feed (https://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/llisapi.dll?func=csLib.csRSS&rsstype=abo&rsslang=en&nodeid0=4000024&lang=en&siteid=cseus&aktprim=99&extranet=standard&viewreg=WW) looks good, but would be really good if the more tailored informaiton i am currently recieving in various emails could be got as RSS feeds. The emails are quite numerous so are being auto filed for later, but i am not getting round to viewing them, whilst I am able to check through RSS news feeds whenever i have a spare moment through the day. would be a good service from siemens to enable us to keep uptodate on our areas of interest! |
