RTD module

Look at network #1.  The IW116 is reading 235, meaning 23.5 deg C if configured for deg C.

No need to scale the input for RTD & TC modules.  They come in with an implied decimal, so divide by 10 to get degrees.  I have seen some modules with 2 implied decimals, so just be aware of that.

Get rid of the norm/scale and replace with a single DIV block and divide by 10.

Hy to all,

I am using RTD analog module 6ES7 231-5PD32-0XB0 and 2 Danfoss temperature sensors Pt100, 084Z8036 (range -50 C -200 C, 2 wires). Sensors are connected and program is made according to Siemens manual, but I have -47 C what is obviously incorrect.

In attachment you can find product specifications for sensors, printscreen of program and 2 pages from Siemens manual regarding RTD.

If you are using an "analog input", norm/scale (for s7-1200), yes.

For RTD/TC, the temperature actually arrives at the proper value.

I too had a tough time finding this in the manuals for the modules.  Somewhere buried deep in the s7-1200 system manual, I think it hides, and not in the module specific manuals.  I do not know which version of the s7-1200 system manual I first found it, but I think it was from someone in these forums helping me out.

But, when I use this scale? Only when I am using 4-20 mA Analog input?
