Runtime High Load in Graphics Designer

When we are navigating through the pictures in the customer's project, there is a huge delay in the update of the pics. F.e it takes 4-5 even 10 seconds sometimes for the real values to be displayed.

The update cycle of the Tags has been set to "upon change".

However, there are different opinions about that. One colleague of mine told me that this cycle is responsible for the high load and recommended to set the cycle to "2s". On the other hand, another colleague with more knowledge and years of experience told me that this is not the reason for the high load and that I should search for other reasons.

I have searched in the manual and in the FAQS and I haven't found something that clarifies that further

Is there any idea or suggestion how to reduce the high load?
