Hi @ChristophD and @Davinator I am struggling with the same problem for some time now and I stumbled upon this topic. Instead of opening a new topic I decided to write here. Basically the situation is exactly the same as with Davinator, I have TIA PORTAL V13 Service Pack 1 installed on a Windows7 Ultimate Service Pack 1 Virtual Machine whose virtualization platform is Virtual Box. I have a KTP700 Basic panel and when I run the simulation everything complies without and error and the RT Simulator opens up a windows. However, the windows generally looks like the real HMI with all the buttons on the bottom but the inside area where the screen content is supposed to be is just filled with my pc screen. I mean, if I have TIA PORTAL open I can see it in the RT Simulator and if I minimize TIA PORTAL along with the RT Simulator and open up the RT Simulator I can see my desktop in the screen area. The weird thing is that if I press the space where one of my buttons is located, everything is executed the physical output of the PLC is ON. Next step for me was to look for a similar problem on the Internet and I tried what ChristopD suggested about 3D Acceleration. I enabled the 3D Acceleration and reinstalled the Guest Additions Add-On with both checkboxes checked. Now everything is working to some extent - I am able to see my WinCC screen content in the RT Simulator but if I press on a Input Field to send some number to the PLC I get an error: The exception Integer division by zero. It is a Virtual Box error though and you can see the exact error in the attached archive which contains a picture of the exact error and the log files from Virtual Box after it crashed.
