Prajyot Posts: 40 Rating: (0)	hello all, I am using S110 for the first time. My PLC is S7-1214.My CU is CU305 PN. In my application there are two cases 1.In the first case motor should run at speed entered through HMI. 2.In second case motor should run at a velocity and for fixed distance. Both velocity and distance will entered through HMI. For this motion control blocks in TIA11.0 are suitable or not? OR Is there any other way to do it? PLZZZZ HELP....

But I prefer the basic postioner So you can acitvate that funciton module in the configurator and the setpoint genation would be in the drive. A threat for the cyclic and acyclic communication already exists in that forum (cyclic communication over Profinet/-bus would be sufficient for you normally). Zako

Motion Control Blocks of S7-1500 work for PROFINET and PROFIBUS interface. As you have a S7-1200, you can download a very good example from TechTeam here: /tf/WW/en/Posts/88153
