S120 cabinet units and commissioning

picengineer123 Posts: 95 Rating: (0)	Hello I have a customer that purchased several cabinet units. I am helping them incorporate them into an S7400 system. There are several different configurations but basically they include active infeed units, ALMs, and different numbers of motor modules. I don't have access to the units (they were shipped to a jobsite). I do have access to the drawings. It shows that the ALM and motor modules have CU320s. So, the question is how to configure the drive paramater P864. Since each motor module has its own CU. I can't quite make out the best way to send the infeed in operation signal to the motor module. I have worked on systems where a digital output from the infeed CU is wired to a digital input of the motor module CU. Do the Siemens units come wired for this? The drawings are not the easiest to decipher(IEC style). thanks in advance for ideas regards john

I have attached a project where the infeed signal from the "SINAMICS_S120_CU320_2" Control Unit is transmitted using the IF words over profibus to the "CAL_AUX" Control Unit (See function diagrams.2460 and 2470) Enjoy!!
