S120 commissioning with synchronous permenant magnet motor

Hussain Ali Posts: 30 Rating: (1)	Dear All I am working on S120 which i have to commisioned with synchronous permenant magnet motor. When i run Stand still optimization, it carries out but when i start this motor from AOP , F7960 (Motor POLID) fault appears. Motor specs are: 1FS3087-4TV99-Z V = 240V I = 1.13 A P = 0.36KW F = 60HZ RPM = 1800 But when i run induction motor instead of synchronous motor, It works fine. Kindly suggest me how to solve this problem? Regards Hussain Ali

zako_ Gold Member Joined: 5/22/2012 Last visit: 3/24/2022 Posts: 895 Rating: (65)	... are you sure that it is a 1FS3 and not a 1FU3? Could you send us the electronic data sheet of the motor. If it is a 1FU3, than it is a SIMOSYN motor, which work in Vector with V/f mode. This would be a motor for textile applications. For what application you want to use the motor?
