Encoder Parametrization

The system is controlled by CU320 unit and I'd like to use extended safety functions with encoded (for this terminal module TM54F). The servo is from Siemens and has DRIVE-CLIQ system. Do I need to parametrize the encoder in the configuration of the safety functions (see attached screen) ?? If yes, then I would say that the "mechanics configuration" the "number of load revolution/number of encoder revolution" is my gear ratio. The "leadscrew pitch" is distance travelled by one pinion rev. Please say if I'm right in my states. Attachment servo.JPG (106 Downloads)

You don´t have to parametrize the encoder (!)databecause safety uses the encoder informations from the drive - so you already inserted resolution (512)and fine resolution.(11). If you would use also a second encoder in addition (!) to your motor encoder then you can select and parametrize this in this screen. leszkoo If yes, then I would say that the "mechanics configuration" the "number of load revolution/number of encoder revolution" is my gear ratio. See also in the function manual safety chapter 7.6.2.1 leszkoo Please say if I'm right in my states.
