S120 Faults Display in HMI

I am wanting a simple solution to display the faults and warnings from a S120 system (in a similar way to starter or startdrive with full fault number) in a TP900 HMI.

Here is my architecture: - Using TIA V15.1 with Startdrive advanced 15.1

CU320-2PN FW 4.8 networked to 1510SP-F-1PN CPU which is networked to a TP900HMI. 

The CU320-2PN controls one single axis motor module (6SL3120-1TE15-0AD0). (used to CU320-2PN for  future expand-ability)

The CPU is using the EPOS functionality of the drive with Telegram 111 and SINA POS block.

What I have tried:

I think a very clean way to do this would be to get the faults and warnings from the S120 to display in the diagnostic buffer of the S7-1500. However I have found that profidrive diagnostics only supports 20 message classes, which does not provide enough information about the fault.

The next best solution that I have found and tried is creating a text list in the HMI and using the fault numbers returned from the SINA POS block to index the text list in the HMI, triggering an analogue alarm when the fault code returned is greater than 0. This works but it is very rough and does not display any information about the specific motor module that the error occurred in (unlike the profidrive diagnostics which displays the station with the error).

I have also tried using the Gen_Usr_Msg block in the PLC code along with another text list in the PLC, which puts the alarms into the diagnostic buffer of the PLC as a user message. However I cannot seem to be able to get the user messages into the TP900 Alarm view. (This solution also does not display the profinet station information from the faulted drive)

I also see that there is another way to get S120 faults and alarms into the diagnostic buffer of the PLC using ProDiag however seems silly to purchase ProDiag just for this use.

I thought another option could be using technology objects and displaying technology alarms, however I would like to avoid TO's at all costs as it is only a very small PLC and would need to control several G120C's and a single S120 Servo.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I must be missing something because I would have thought the central management of alarms would be easily handled in TIA.

PS I also have multiple G120C's that I would like to do the same thing with.

I have already tried that method with the text list in the HMI, but it does not return details about which profinet node is faulting, it just simply displays the fault, although paired with the information from the profidrive diagnostics, one might be able to put two and two together, but I was looking for a more integrated solution. that didnt required HMI programming essentially.
