S120 follow external encoder

Smitty Regular Member Joined: 3/10/2008 Last visit: 10/3/2022 Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	I have set up in Sizer a Cu310-2 with a 1FT7 motor and an external encoder via SMC module. I want to have the motor follow the external encoder. Can I set that up stand alone with just the driveor do I need a 31xT CPU or Simotion controller to do that? Are there any application examples? I've tried searching, but "following" is used too many times in other meanings.
