S120 Profibus "standard telegrams"

Could anybody tell me where I can find information as to the "standard telegram" mappings? The way I understand it, when you select the telegram in starter, it automatically"maps" the profibus words to the drive parameters. I would like to have this info for the Control Unit, Infeed, and drive controls. Thanks!

Frazzled Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	I finally found how this works and would basically like to answer my own question for others who may need it. The answers are in the List Manual (in this case S-120). In typical Siemens for its "hidden" from the casual viewer . The answer starts at section 2.8 (Page 1147 of 1816 in my copy) "Overviews" of the function diagrams. Scroll down a couple pages and you will find a layout of the PROFIdrive Standard Telegrams. In this instance I was looking for telegram 110. I found this on Pg. 1151 which holds function diagram 2422. Here under the column "110" I found the "contents" of the telegram (Input on the left, Output on the right). From here just scroll down to find the function diagram that you're looking for for the particular "PZD". When you find the "PZD" you're looking for, make sure that it is the copy for the functionality you're looking for. In this example, Im looking for STW1. There are three seperate copies here.These arefor VIK-NAMUR, SINAMICS, and SIMODRIVE 611. All were labeled STW1 but only one was for my application. From here you can track the specifics of each bit, functionality etc. This is just the starting point. I hope this helps somebody out there as it sure helped me!! Cheers, Todd

Nunya Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I tried looking through the documentation and was disappointed in the ease of use. I did finally find telegram 1 by text searching the text with control F , find. On page 1907 telegram one is listed. But the easy way to do it is to open the drive in Starter and go to the communications tab. Go online with the drive in Starter and accept the communications setup in the communications tab. (no red check marks on the telegram) Then select the button beside each word in the telegram and it will open a window that details everything in that word. The telegram is coming directly from the software / firmware / drive hardware that you are actually using and it is easy to read.
