Dear Sirs, is it possible to work with SIEMENS SMC10 and Lenze servo motor's resolver as the attached? Thanks Attachmentlenze_9200_resolver.pdf (295 Downloads) |

Thanks for the reply. what my concern is that the excitation voltage mentioned in SMC's manual is 4.1V. However, the voltage from Lenze's motor is 10V Rgds Jim Attachmentsmc10pdf.pdf (151 Downloads) |

Take a look at the following page. It has all the info on Lenze's MCS synchronous servomotors. http://www.ctiautomation.net/Lenze-MCS-Synchronous-Motors.htm |

Little bit off date, but have you succeed? I have the same application. I have noticed, that SMC10 and Lenze resolver may no be compatible at all:
There are two kinds of reoslvers: rotor excited, and stator excited. I guess the SMC10 axcepts rotor excited ones, meanwhile the Lenze MCS uses stator excited BRT type, can be seen on the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81OBsC7axhc In the attachment you'll see the Lenze MCS encoder, it's a BRT type. Frankly, I don't know what's the real difference between BRT and BRX. Could be possible to connect the BRT type as BRX? Can you please specify exact model of Lenze PMSM? How did you tune everything, where did you get the data about all parameters for setting up the S120 controller? Was this document of any use? https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/79690594 Have you seen this: https://support.industry.siemens.com/tf/ww/en/posts/resolvers-for-smc10/57567?page=0&pageSize=10 thread? The user is trying to connect Tamyagawa BRT resolver without success. |
