S210 - Position Controller Optimization in Tech Object

This pertains to the position controller tuning that is available in the "commissioning" section of the Technology Object (not drive object).

My question is if there is a trick to get this thing to actually start the tracing and move the axis? I have followed all the instructions mentioned in the attachment of this post which is source from the below link:

I've tried multiple times after restarting the PLC so that there was no interference from Master Control being taken through a different means, and I've also tried to do it with DSC enabled/disabled in the Tech object. I've had the same issue before trying to tune the position controller in the TO when I was playing with an S120-CU320-2 PN as well, so I feel like there is a trick to this? After hitting "forward" the axis does not move, and the TIA portal screen sort of refreshes and takes me to the top of the viewport for this panel again, and no trace is populated.
