S210 selected/deselected STO via PROFISAFE

Hi,

I have an Acceptance Test Required Fault and to do so I need to deselected STO in the Profisafe Telegram.

I don't know where I'm supposed to do that.

What device is your profinet / profisafe master controlling the S210?  Change it there.

Yes, the PLC is the Master. It's a SIMATIC ET 200SP.

First time I work with Siemens and I don't know where to go to access the sel/desel bit of STO.

In the safety control word (for lack of a better term) inside the profisafe portion of the telegram, there will be data accessible from within a safety block.

Have you downloaded the manual for the S210 and your ET200SP / TIA Portal for accesing profisafe telegram data?  Have you downloaded any Siemens example applications that use profisafe with a Sinamics drive so you can see how they do it in general?

It's much faster to adapt from a working project than ask questions online.  Plus, the quality of the information will be much better!

if you want to control the safety functions of your drive via PROFIsafe it absolutely makes sense to use these blocks in your PLC F-program:

There is a block for each telelgram (e.g. telegram 30, 31, 900,...)

With those blocks you can easily select and deselect safety functions of the drive from your PLC program without knowing the internal structure of the telegram.
