S5 115u 944 CPU upload error

rkt Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I am trying to upload a program from a S5 115u CPU 944 but i receive an error saying "Last segment not complete" / "Checksum error" 0 blocks transferred. I have tried downloading one block a time / viewing block status in Step 5 but i get the same error message. Can anybody enlighten me what the problem could be? I am using Step5 v7.11... This machine has been offline for almost 6 months now. I know my software is ok 'coz i can upload from other CPUs. has anybody encountered similar issues?

Please search for the block that is given this error when you place it to the CPU and look if the block is ok. When you can't find any errors, please place the software then on the forum so I could look to it.

rkt Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I did the error message with all the blocks, i found that strange. The PLC does go to run mode so i doubt if the program is corrupt. I managed to upload the program using PG2000 software and i am uploading it here. I really would like to know why i get the error message when i use Step 5... Attachment L10683ST.zip (380 Downloads)

Late Platinum Expert Joined: 1/7/2006 Last visit: 11/17/2023 Posts: 2705 Rating: (318)	Hi, It could be that you have choosen for the checksum option, which you can switch On and Off by the parameters of the TTY port...... So it would be ON now, switch it OFF and try again.

Buzby Posts: 3 Rating: (1)	Hi, I agree with Late, it looks like a checksum setting problem. In your STEP5 , look at File>Project>Set>Blocks There is a 'With Checksum' option there. It may need changing. Buzby.

Silbato Posts: 7 Rating: (1)	Hi : Is there an EPROM card inserted? Try to take off the power supply and take off the card if you had it even the CPU from the slot. After powered the CPU without the EPROM, is ready to receive "complete delete"and then to allow the transfer unless your program is uncomplete it must work. Best regards Sergio SIlva
