Ok then dear farzaneh, well now there is one aditional question; wich is the comunication protocol your HMI aplication is using right now? Also will be good to know if your actual PLC uses a CP at the moment, if so please tell us wich kind of CP is it? Also have a loock to this info: WinCC-S5 Coms. There you will find descritions about the different options you have, after reading this a litle bit yuo will have more info to decide what to do. Good luck. |

Hello, first please check if you meen WinCC or WinCC-flexible (there is often a name-confusion between this two systems). With WinCC (V6) we sometimes use a 3COM-Networkcard over Softnet with S5-H1 over CP1430TF (with MAC-Adresses), because there is a lot of communication so this is a better solution. In your case - instead of a OP396 (there´s not too much communication, I think) - you can use a S5-Online-adapter-cable over the COM1/2 of the PC to the communiation port of the CPU. So there is the problem to change the cables, because the OP396 is also on this port; if you need WinCC and the OP396 at the same time maybe you can use a S5-MUX (Multiplexer). |
