Hello reypapin; You are correct, the S5-95U supports only 16-bit arithmetic, so only integer values can be handled directly in Step 5. By adding a Basic Functions Library, you can use 32-bit (floating-point) arithmetic. See the attached screecapture, from a 2007 catalog: https://www.automation.siemens.com/salesmaterial-as/catalog/en/st50k7_e.pdf?HTTPS=REDIR I do not know of any other solution from Siemens, and I am not even sure if this software package is still available. Maybe someone with more experience with these controllers can add some hint. Sorry, I can't be more helpful. Daniel Chartier |

Dearreypapin I have some self written 32 bit integer arithmetic function blocks (ADD/SUB/MUL/DIV) if they are of use to you. Provide me with your email in PM if you are interested. Would be interesting to know what do you need 32 bit arithmetic for Maybe there are other ways to solve your problem. Best Regards. |
