For Example, In FB 202 (S5) there is input for Derivative Time . In FB42 (S7) there is no input Derivative Time So where can i enter Derivative Time in S7. In S5 (FB202) One Input is Gain - IW Second isProportional Gain - QB In S7 (FB42) Only One Input is Proportional Gain - Input (Real) Second Input is Process Variable Factor (Real) No Input for Gain in S7-300. SecondlyProportional Gain in S5-is QB Whereas Proportional Gain in S7- IW Whatto do ! Kindly help in this regard Thanks

FB42 is a Step control algorithm, described as : SFB/FB "CONT_S" (step controller) is used on SIMATIC S7 programmable logic controllers to control technical processes with digital manipulated value output signals for integrating actuators From the System and standard functions manual, Chapter on SFB42. The S5 PID algorithm that I know is a continous controller, similar to FB41 in Step 7, and theconversion of the parameters is rather simple. Is the algorithm you are refering to in the S5-95U (SFB 201/202) a step controller? Or is it part of a modular PID package of some kind? Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

We have determined some conversion parameters. while some remain still unidentified. Kindly check the same and advise for the remaining inputs and outputs of S5..
