S5 COM 143 installtion

umair Posts: 81 Rating: (1)	Hello My operating system is XP sp2 and check the attached file for COM 143 software.I have these files and I am running this file by just copying it into C drive and in the option of Step-5 (Change------> Others ) from there i am starting the CP 143 com software v4.80 can you tell me that CP has any programming blocks in its EPROM besides its configuration or how we can programm our CPU for CP communication.

The S5 blocks are not located in the eprom of the CPU, but are part of the S5 program.

Thanks for your previous help i just wanted to tell you that my S5 system has 1 cental CPU (Co- ordinator) and three extra CPU for multi processing so the program should be in all the for HMI communication or may be it lies in only one CPU for the communication with its CP means the send and receive Bloack

A CP143 has a max of 4 Dual Port Rams (DPRAM), one per CPU (you can have up to 4 CPUs in a central rack). In the configuration software you have to tell how much of them you want to enable. And you specify the number of the first DPRAM (is always a multiple of 4), with jumpers or in the software depending on the version of the Ethernet CP. The parameter SSNR tells what DPRAM you address. for instance, if the first DPRAM has number 0 (default) SSNR =KY 0, 0 ==> CPU1 SSNR= KY 0, 1 ==> CPU2 ... SSNR=KY 0, 3 ==> CPU4 If you need data from each of the CPUs, you will need a connection for each of them in the CP. In each CPU you will have as a minium the synchron in start OBs, Send-All/Recieve All, with the correct value for SSNR depending on the CPU. Pay attention that other cards (CP525, CP526, ...) may have DPRAMs and that the same number only occure once in the complete system.

umair Posts: 81 Rating: (1)	Hello, Thanks for your help suppose if we are communicating with WinCC station and CP 143(S5) then we have to define the read and write address( like the data which we wanted to monitor on HMI and the data which we wanted to send from the HMI) in the CP 143 configuration and I am using right now COM143 v1.1 ,
