s5 cp 516 problem

catalin_78 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	i have a problem in a multiprocessor s5 sistem , the coordinator is 923 and cpus are 922 and 928 and i have a cp 516 installed too after i power up , if i switch cp 516 to run both leds are lit run and stop , from the manual i read this may be a defective state , the cpus remain in stop after i switch the coordinator to run , i am supposing that cpus can't access memory module and they remain in stop. If anybody knows something about this please give an opinion Also is there some software to configure this card??? Thanks

[:P] With the CPU's you have clearly have to follow the right sequence to start them. [:o] 1. Put the coordinator and both CPUs in STOP; 2. Switch both CPUs in "Neustart"; 3. Switch the coordinator from STOP to RUN; The CP516 have to be synchronised to one of the CPUs, with FB125 SYNCHRON, if this one is placed please look carefully to the PAFE parameter, which error is coming. [;)]

catalin_78 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	The system worked for 10 years , last week i experience some problems and the solving was to overall rest cpus and place them to run and the cp 516 too and when tha coordinator was switched on all went online . Can you explain me more about the cpu who should connect to cp 516 ? both cpus have program written in eprom , if it's possible please explain something or give me a link about this topic . The cp 516 has both leds lit , when i switch it to run , i am guessing on it has saved the custom setting of the machine . There is a software to configure cp 516 ? or to diagonse it? the leds on the cpu should be on or slow flashing when i switch them to run? Thanks .

There will be in the OB20, OB21 and OB22 somewhere a SYNCHRON-block {FB125, with the PAFE on it, when there is not 0 then there is no synchronisation}. Thats the one that is making the connection between the CPU and the CP in first place. When thats not working then other functions won't work either. [:o] Further FB199 (when not renamed/numbered) EXT-.... will do all work between the CPU and the CP in cyclic program flow. See the handbook :Memory Module CP 516 with Standard Functions Blocks for further details.

[:(] But if you readout the error information on the FunctionBlocks then you maybe could find out whats (not) happening. Have you seen also the LEDs in the handbook?
