S5 CPU 100 .S5D project download to EEPROM

I have Step5 V7.23 and also interface cable. i can online with PLC very easly and can transfer this file into the CPU RAM. but now i want to download in EEPROM because in case fo battery failure my program is washed out.so now i want that download to EEPROM Cartridge. but i dont have Siemens PG. is there any procedure to download to EEPROM Cartridge without Siemens PG Regards MM KHan

fritz Diamond Expert Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 10/6/2024 Posts: 3024 Rating: (1054)	Hello 256 you say you have an EEPROM, if so, you can use the 100U itself to burn a copy of theprogram in the RAMonto the EEPROM. Have a look at chapter 4.4.1 of the 100U manual which explains how to do it via the "Copy" key on the CPU. I hope this helps

mmkhan Bronze Member Joined: 9/28/2007 Last visit: 2/20/2024 Posts: 234 Rating: (12)	Dear Fritz you are right. 1-ihave downloaded from RAM to EEPROM in S5 CPU 100 thanks. 2-now i want to download another program(.S5D) in EEPROM in S5 CPU 95. but the procedure mentioned in S5 CPU 100 manual is not working. 3-Is there different procedure to download .S5D program in S5 CPU 95. i am waiting for your reply. regards MM Khan

Actually i want the procedure form .S5D file to EEPROM., i dont have Siemens PROMER. tell me the procedure from .S5D file to EEPROM without Siemens Promer. i have STEP5 V7.23 and interface cable.ok

Then follow the procedure as discribed in chapter 4.4.1 Saving a program to a Memory Submodule. The procedure looks like the copy from eprom to ram procedure but is not, because you have to leave the battery in this time.

mmkhan Bronze Member Joined: 9/28/2007 Last visit: 2/20/2024 Posts: 234 Rating: (12)	Dear Marcjan i have first downloaded my program to RAM by using STEP5 Software.then apply this procedure and when i pull my battery out then there is no program in EEPROM.why my EEPROM is blank. is there any other procedure to download .S5D file to EEPROM.i have applied this procedure in S5 100 . it is working fine in 100U but not in 95U.
