S5 CPU 928 not running automatically

Berno09 Posts: 40 Rating: (1)	Dear all,I have a problem with S5 CPU (6ES5928-3UA21) which is not running automatically. Every time, we turn power ON, it should runs by itself and this is not happening. We are obliged to do a manual warm restart, by pushing up the RESET button and put it on RUN.In case, we turnpower OFF on all S5 modules, and re-turn it ON in less than one hour, it will go to RUN automatically without manual restart.In case, the power stayed OFF for more than one hour, the CPU will not go to RUN automatically, and in this case we are obliged to make a manual warm restart.Any advise what could be the problem?Regards

Install the CPU928 (6ES5928-3UA21) for a test only into another central controller (S5-135U/155U). Please checks whether the problem also can be observed here. Perhaps uses the CPU928 into another area. 2. Take into account and check the installation guidelines again. More information about find you in the system manual SIMATIC S5-135U/155U in chapter 3. I would do if I had.I have read before the manual you sent it to me, and I have read also this one below, especially chapter 4 which talks about start up and different kind of restart and the remedy for.http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/19397726Icouldn't find my issue inside this manual, also I didn’t find in my S5 program something related to a block called DX0. I’m not sure if this could be my problem or not.This problem which I’m talking about is a year old and not new, and I want to solve in any way.ThanksBerno

Say, you remove all program from it or let it run with only one statement (Nop 0). Check if the CPU behaves the same way when you run it. If yes, then you have to change a new one.
