S5 CPU keeping stop mode

Yaham Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello. I have S5-100 CPU (6ES5 100-8MA01). PLC does not go to run mode. Im setting a switch to RUN, RUN lamp will light up, but it returns to STOP immediately. May I have any advice? ISTACK is here. Attachment SS_01.zip (163 Downloads)

If not, it would explain your problem and have a look too at the FAQ S5-100U without bus module If you do have I/O modules, please give us more details about yourhardware setup 9e.g. what I/O's, RAM or EPROM card in CPU etc.)and advice what changes have been made if it has been working before etc. etc. I hope this helps

CPU : S5-100U (6ES5 100-8MA01) EPROM : 6ES5 375-1LA41 I/O module : 16DI/DO (6ES5 482-8MA13) BUS module : 6ES5 700-8MA11 And there is only 1 block in CPU (Im just testing). OB1 A F 20.0 = F 21.0 BE I tried next and check ISTACK. 1. remove bus module (and I/O module). 2. power ON 3. check ISTACK ISTACK is the same as before. There was no "PEU" error. So I confused

Simaticus Bronze Member Joined: 1/30/2007 Last visit: 6/3/2022 Posts: 262 Rating: (24)	Hi Yaham, the i-stack you posted says "SYN FEHL"; At startup the cpu checks the blocks loaded to the memory against the address list of the system. If a difference is detected through this check the cpu stays in Stop and shows the error mentioned above. Usualy there are three reasons for this error: 1. pls check the battery, it may be low. You have to "erase all" and reload all blocks 2. if a panel is connected to the cpu and you start to reorganize the blocks in the cpu without having the panel disconnected the error may occur. 3. a programming error using system commands like LIR, TIR, TNB being not sufficiently checked inside the program. This kind of error is hard to find; you'll need some time to erase parts of the program and check with Stop / Run for "SYN FEHL". Good luck
