S5 installation

Hi

I have installed the S5 on the windows xp with the original CD, and serial no from the diskette. It says there is no authorization when i open the S5 after installation. Where can i find the authorization no, and how can i solve this. And what type of cable is required for communication with PLC and PC

you need the software "AuthorsW".
This is a administraton-tool.

When you start the software then can you administrate your authorization.
You can transfer them from the dis to the PC and from the PC to the disk.

What for interfaces do you have at your PC?

For USB you can use e.g. cable USB-AS511

For Ethernet can you use e.g. adapter TCP-AS511

Thank you for the guide. I tried to use AthorsW and performed offline transfer, but i am not able to find the authorization from the list for "STEP 5 BASIS V7.x).

Hello Dechen,

are  you shure that you have aauthorization for Step 5 at the disk?

Normally you can find the authorization at the disk and see that the counter of this is counter = 1.

Select the authorization and transfer the license to the harddisk e.g. C:.
