Hello JB2020 they are the same address for all intends and purposes. The only difference is that PQW20 is direct peripheral access and will be sendstraight to theoutput address, whereas QW20 is located in the Process Image which willthen be transferred to the output address by the operating system after the OB1 program scan hasfinished. As such, having an I/O card withIW/QW address 20 in the central rack and an IM308C DP Slave with I Address P020 and O Address P020 will not work. I wonder though if you perhaps have an IM306 in your 115U rack. If so, you are no longer dealing with Slot based addressing and instead useDIP switches of the IM306 to set I/O address of eachslot (card) in the rack. Please check if this is the case and see also chapter 6.2.2 of the S5-115U Programmable Controller manual for more on this. I hope this helps |

Hello JB2020 I would definitely put this one down asa mistake and am surprised it actually worked. Since you are upgrading the systemthough, I suppose there is no need to worry about this anymore. I hope this helps and good luck with your project. |
