S5 program transfer

naga Posts: 101 Rating: (0)	Dear \| am having SIEMENS PG720 P II, and when back up is attempted from PLC ie. blocks transfer from PLC to PGM file, after some blocks transfer as message is being displayed as "Undefined Character from AS" and getting held up. What does it mean. ONLINE connection is alright at that incident. Regards, Vijay

Since i remember, this kind of messages comes when you have a comunication failure betwen the PLC and your PG, some times it is an non constant problem, but when you have it constantly in the same PLC or PG then you have to think about a damaged port(maybe PLC or maybe PG). So if it's the first time this message comes on this PLC then maybe there is a time out or something disturbing the comunication, but if it has been several times then maybeyou have to try with another PLC and try to determine if the PLC or PGTTY port it's damaged. I hope this help.
