S5 PS3A onto PS7A/15A

KonradR Posts: 97 Rating: (3)	hi all, I have question regarding to power supply because of voltage decline . I've decide to replace PS3A onto PS7A/15A what happend voltage has leveled to normal 24VDC but the power supply explode after 15 min. What could have cause this regards Konrad

Simaticus Bronze Member Joined: 1/30/2007 Last visit: 6/3/2022 Posts: 262 Rating: (24)	Hi KonradR, just to make sure i understand you correct: you remnoved ps3A and inserted a ps7/15A ... i never experienced a ps exploding if under- or overloaded. Usually the ps starts pumping on - off if overloaded. On the other hand it won't start if underload occurs. In both cases there 's an electronic supervision and protection. Sorry, but i can only guess there's already been a defect in the newly inserted ps. Good luck PS: Btw if you had inserted a 24V-DC-ps instead of a 230V-AC-ps it would have exploded at once.
