SAYCOOO Posts: 48 Rating: (1)	DEAR EXPERTS, I HAVE THE SIMATIC SOFTWARE PACKAGE FOR SIEMATIC FIELD PG. THE PACKAGE CONTAINED S5 , S7, S7200, WINCCFLEX, .... I SETUP ALL SOFT WARE ON THE PG WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM. BUT I TRIED TO SETUP ONLY THE S5 SOFTWARE ( FROM THE PACKAGE) ON MY PC BUT THE SETUP NOT COMPLEATED . HOW I CAN SETUP S5 ON MY PC? WAITING YOUR SOONEST REPLY. THANKS

fritz Diamond Expert Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 10/10/2024 Posts: 3024 Rating: (1054)	Hello SAYCOOO your license agreement will tell you that you are allowed to operateone licensed Step 5 installation. This licensed installation will currently be on the PG, if you rather operate Step 5 on your Laptop you will have to transfer the Step 5 license from the PG to your Laptop (in which case you can NOT use Step 5 on the PG anymore). If you need (want) to operate STep 5 on both, you will have to buy another Step 5 package. License tranfer (aka Authorisation) is handled by the Automation License Manager (ALM,AuthorsW can also be used for older Siemens packages like Step 5). Late Platinum Expert Joined: 1/7/2006 Last visit: 11/17/2023 Posts: 2705 Rating: (318)	Hi, STEP5 functions with AUTHORSW for older versions, the newer versions are also with the ALM possible. The ALM is also on the DVD where you have installed the STEP5 package from.
